Turn your speakers up and join Adam for a drive in the driver's Lamborghini Gallardo — the rear-wheel-drive Balboni.
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni isn’t just another Gallardo — it’s a true driver’s car and one of only 250 cars worldwide. Built to celebrate Lamborghini’s legendary test driver, Valentino Balboni, this special edition stripped away the usual all-wheel drive for a lighter, rear-wheel drive setup that made it one of the purest Lamborghinis of its era.
This particular Balboni, finished in striking Arancio Borealis with the iconic white-and-gold stripe, has covered 35,600 kms and comes with an impeccable history. Originally supplied in Singapore before being imported to the UK in 2016, it has been meticulously maintained by Lamborghini main dealers, stored professionally, and in March 2025 received a major £18,000 service including a new clutch, flywheel, brakes, and more.
In this episode of Driven, Adam gets behind the wheel to explore why the Balboni deserves its place among Lamborghini’s greats — alongside the Countach, Diablo, and Murciélago — and why it should be considered a true modern classic.
