Where Ferrari History Lives: Inside Maranello Classic Parts

Step inside Maranello Classic Parts, the unassuming UK warehouse quietly supplying genuine parts for every classic Ferrari in the world.

When I arrived at Maranello Classic Parts in Egham, I already knew it would be interesting. A warehouse of Ferrari parts, new and old, nicely organised, a bit of history on the shelves. What I didn’t expect was to walk straight into one of the most important Ferrari locations on the planet. If you own a Ferrari built between 1947 and 1999 and order a genuine part today, it comes from here. Not the factory in Italy. Right here in the UK.

The scale of it hits you quickly. Row after row of boxes containing everything from tiny, unassuming components to full body panels. Somewhere in those shelves could be a part destined for a 250 GTO… or an F355. As a Ferrari geek, I was completely in my element, trying to work out what fitted what. You’d spot a door from a Ferrari 3.2 Mondial, then a little further along, an original front fender from a Ferrari 250 GTE. That one was especially cool — it’s the only factory-made example left in existence, kept so it can be copied accurately if another ever needs to be made. That’s the level we’re talking about here.

There were exhausts, stacks of V8 blocks, and even a full Ferrari 512 BB engine sitting there, complete and ready to run. They could have stripped it down and sold the components individually, but instead, they’ve kept it intact, just in case someone, one day, needs a complete BB engine. To the untrained eye, it probably looks like organised chaos, but everything is meticulously catalogued and regularly checked. It’s the sort of place where you could walk past something priceless without even realising it.

Just when I thought we’d seen it all, we headed over to the car storage area — something I hadn’t even realised was part of Maranello Classic Parts. The top level was filled with cars under black, nondescript covers. You could tell what some of them were, including one-offs! But no one would confirm or deny anything, which turned into a very enjoyable guessing game with no reward, as you never knew if you were correct or not. A handful were pulled out for us: a LaFerrari, Lexus LFA, Pagani Huayra BC, Porsche 918, and a stunning green Ferrari SP3. Not a bad lineup by any measure.

One level down revealed more covered cars, plus a Mercedes SLR McLaren 722 and a Porsche GT2 RS. And then came the real showstopper. On the floor below, amongst covered F40s, F50s and Enzos, sat three identical Ferrari F50s — all owned by the same person. As it turns out, he owns four of them and was there to present their history to us. He brought three out and walked us through his story of collecting, restoring, and returning them to absolutely original condition. Some of the parts hunts were extraordinary, including sourcing an original exhaust — one of which cost over £100,000.

What really stood out was his love for the details. The Ferrari F50 comes with a surprising number of extras such as luggage, books and so on, and he had them all laid out and proudly displayed. Hearing that he paid £380,000 for his first F50 was the final reminder of just how much the world has changed — and how special it is that places like Maranello Classic Parts exist to preserve this history properly.

Maranello Classic Parts

Hosting our Supercar Driver members at Maranello Classic Parts was genuinely unforgettable. It’s not just a warehouse, not just storage, and definitely not just parts. It’s a living archive of Ferrari history, quietly doing one of the most important jobs in the automotive world — and doing it exceptionally well. I would highly recommend getting your name down for the next visit. You will not be disappointed!
